Remote operations - shadow robots (stage 2 – part a)

AMPC worked with Mimeo Industrial to develop a proof-of-concept example of a shadow robot that may be used to reduce the risk associated with bandsaw meat cutting, where the robot is controlled by a remote operator. 

Stage 2 of this project involved: 

-    Restructuring the code to improve robot control for speed and accuracy, and adding safety features 
-    Adding operating modes, specifically semi-automated and operator-informed modes 

These adjustments and improvements were successfully completed. The restructured code, robot communication, safety improvements and different operator modes have improved the control and accuracy of the shadow robot cutting system.
