Hide shredding for rendering plant

The research included trials at a red meat processing plant to shred hides to a level where they could go through to the rendering plant and not cause any blockages or plant breakdowns.
The trials were successful, and it was determined that when hide prices are low, this method of shredding hides for rendering would offer the red meat processing industry a viable alternative.
