This collaborative R&D project, involving Nolan Meats, Foss Pacific, and SIA, developed an AI-enabled dual-energy X-ray system to enhance carton and label verification in Australian processing plants.
By upgrading existing Meat Master systems with new hardware and AI, the project aimed to deliver more accurate product checks, chemical lean validation, and foreign object detection. The project achieved 99% accurate product identification and correctly identified mislabelled cartons that could be rectified.
