Automated beef slaughter splitting translation - cleaning validation trials

As part of the project, a manually operated splitting saw was fitted with a Jarvis automated saw cleaning system and trialed at an Australian red meat processing plant that exports beef.
The trials found no significant difference in the microbiological load on carcases processed using the automated system and those processed normally.
