AMPC collaborated with S.G. Heilbron to measure the economic impact of the red meat processing industry in Australia and the individual States in which it operates in 2020-21.
The project provides an update to the previous analysis undertaken for AMPC in 2019. The economic impact is measured in terms of employment assessed as full-time equivalent (FTE) positions, industry value added and household income with direct and flow-on impacts provided for each metric. The results are provided in absolute values and as a percentage of the relevant economy.
