AMPC commissioned SG Heilbron Economic and Policy Consulting to complete a detailed analysis of market cycles and price transmission in the red meat sector. 

Part 1 of the report presents the findings with regard to the existence of cycles in the beef and sheep meat markets. 

Part 2 of the report presents the findings with regard to price transmission in the beef and sheep meat value chains. 

The project methodology included design confirmation, literature review, contextual analysis, data gathering, and analysis using time series methods.
