AMPC supported a project funded by DAFF and led by NSW DPIRD called Enhancing Traceability in Smallstock Processing using Hook Tracking and the Implications for Industry.
The project aimed to enhance the adoption of traceability within processing plants, break down barriers to the adoption of traceability technologies along the supply chain and improve the knowledge and potential benefits of hook tracking systems in Australian processing plants. At the same time, it aimed to highlight the broader benefits to the Australian sheep and goat industry.
This webinar covered the changes implemented to the hook tracking system at Gundagai Meat Processors and the benefits of hook tracking to processors and producers. Speakers included Tracy Lamb DPIRD, Dave Wright SCL and sheep producer Isabele Roberts.
