New assay available for STEC screening: Bio-Rad’s IQ-Check and dd-Check STEC Solution
AMPC supported a project led by CSIRO that evaluated the performance of the Bio-Rad IQ-Check and dd-Check STEC Solution for detecting STEC in Australian beef products. The Bio-Rad assay as a screening tool could significantly reduce the rate of potential positive for STEC, which would reduce the number of tests that require culture confirmation and minimise unnecessary product holds.
