Emergency animal disease training for the red meat processing industry

13 December 2017
Focus area: Development
Program stream: People & culture
Project number: 2017-1021
AMPC had recognised that a training program to ensure red meat processing industry personnel understand their roles and responsibilities in the event of an Emergency Animal Disease response was not available. This was a significant deficit and might have lead to underperformance or a reduction in the efficiency and effectiveness of an Emergency Animal Disease response.

The aim of this project was to develop and implement a training package to equip red meat industry workers with the knowledge and skills required in the event of an Emergency Animal Disease event.
