Shadow robot - bandsaw cutting of beef shank- stage 1

AMPC partnered with the Danish Meat Research Institute (DMRI) to investigate telemanipulation technologies to remove operators from hazardous red meat processing tasks. This project focused on cutting beef shanks on a band saw. 

DMRI successfully completed trials of a Viper system (viper, robot, and tool). The system was able to produce a steady consistence in quality for the shank cut samples with an experienced operator controlling the process fully remote.
