Water stewardship for red meat processors in SE Qld drought affected areas – catchment mapping and community engagement

27 June 2023
Focus area: Communities
Program stream: Sustainability
Project number: 2023-1007
AMPC partnered with The Efficiency Group and The University of Southern Queensland to explore, for the first time, how globally acknowledged water stewardship principles and approaches can be used to establish a collaborative approach to processor and community shared challenges around water quality and security.

As part of the project, an Introductory Water Stewardship Guideline for red meat processors was developed.

The guideline provides a six-step method for how to effectively engage with stakeholders to use collective action to tackle shared water challenges. It can be accessed in the snapshot report or by contacting AMPC.
