Service Insights, Reduction and Optimisation
This AMPC investment with JBS involved a business-wide investigation into energy and water consumption, identifying critical points and equipment performance.
Initial assessments of current water, energy and GHG emissions were undertaken to identify critical use points and review high-use systems and resource intensive processes. These assessments were used to help set baselines and identify gaps in the site's monitoring systems, and understand current metering locations and deficiencies. Following the assessments, each site began a sub-metering process, including water, electrical and gas meters. Usage was reviewed and savings opportunities identified, with further key savings areas targeted. The project also facilitated a system update to collect relevant data from all sites to allow direct comparison of KPIs related to sustainability. The site working committees and scorecard process has allowed the business to discuss the savings opportunities and review new technologies and process improvements.
