RACE for 2030 - Industry 4.0 for energy productivity

RACE for 2030 CRC is Australia’s largest ever, long-term industry research collaboration, with $350m in resources to focus on balancing the emerging renewable energy transition with smarter energy use.

AMPC is a tier 2 Industry partner in the RACE for 2030 business stream. It’s goal is to meet business and industry needs for reliable, affordable, clean energy via a customer-centred clean energy transition.

RACE projects bring together large energy users, technology providers, start-ups, Australian and international universities and research institutes, energy retailers and networks, industry associations, investors, and State governments.

Industry 4.0 for Energy Productivity 

This cross sectoral project estimated the possible impact of Industry 4.0 technologies including:
o    Gross energy savings of $1.1bn by 2030-31
o    Emissions reductions of 5.9 Mt CO2e by 2030-31

The project recommended working towards reducing barriers around Industry 4.0 technological adoption through demonstration of best practice
