Membrane systems for treatment and energy recovery of wastewater

11 December 2017
Focus area: Waste
Program stream: Sustainability
Project number: 2013-5024
The primary aim of this project was to investigate robust membrane technology for primary treatment of processing wastewater.

A specific focus was on improved recovery fats and proteins for by-product generation, and/or chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal. Energy recovery (heat) from liquid streams using membrane technology was a secondary aim of the project.
