Project number: 2019-1060
AMPC partnered with CSIRO to carry out trials on a high frequency megasonics technology, to investigate its efficacy in enhancing the separation and recovery of fats, oils, and grease (FOG) through demulsification of emulsions.

The trials determined that the technology was not applicable for FOG recovery from dissolved air floatation from two of the participating processing plants. Results at other processing plants varied.
