AMPC partnered with an Australian red meat processing plant to explore the concept of strategic innovation management and how it might apply to the red meat industry. 

As part of the project, the processing plant looked at current and emerging strategic innovation trends and evaluated existing innovation mechanisms. 

It was recommended that there be a shift from an overemphasis on projects to considering organisation requirements needed to create a strategic, systemic, and sustainable approach to innovation.
