15 June 2021
Focus area: Safety & wellbeing
Program stream: People & culture
Project number: 2021-1162
This project funded a COVID-19 strategic plan and communication strategy for the red meat processing industry.

The strategic plan was developed and provided to health authorities and industry across Australia. The overall objective of that plan was to ensure that workers in the meat industry were protected against COVID-19, that workplaces remained safe and healthy, and that the broader community benefited from a meat industry free of COVID-19.

The risk communication strategy developed provided an overarching approach to communicating effectively on the immunisation processes, benefits, and specific deliverables, accessible and useable by industry. It delivered a range of resources for the industry including Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), vaccination video, webinar, industry blog and newsletter input, and vaccination related information posters.
