Development of a research-based employee retention framework for the meat processing industry

26 June 2022
Focus area: Retention
Program stream: People & culture
Project number: 2019-1058
AMPC partnered with Response Research to understand the factors that make red meat processing employees decide to leave, or remain with, their employer.

As part of this project, Response Research interviewed over 750 people and collected quantitative retention information from 25 red meat processing plants. After extensive industry consultation a Retention Framework of Excellence was developed. Response then worked with the participating plants to create and implement individualised Retention Frameworks and created a training platform to support industry-wide retention outcomes.
