This project commissioned KPMG to conduct a performance review of AMPC from 2016 to 2020.

The review determined AMPC made substantial progress regarding its corporate governance and operations during the review period, with particular improvement from 2019 to 2022 as confirmed by key stakeholders and documented during the performance review assessment. Specific areas of progress included risk management, Board skills and performance, and demonstrating a greater level of focus on the scope of AMPC’s service delivery through its Strategic Plan revision process.

During this time, AMPC also relaunched a range of programs including Plant Initiated Projects, made a shift from a passive investor in R&D activity to a service delivery provider focused on delivering returns for levy payers. AMPC also made a concerted effort to enhance and drive further constructive engagement with key red meat industry stakeholders.
