Further development of Glove Stop technology

AMPC partnered with an Australian red meat processing plant to look at Glove Stop technology to make head removal a safer operation. .

As part of the project, the Glove Stop technology was trialed on hydraulic cutters as they don’t currently have an emergency stop feature. 

Whilst some of the concepts tested worked in a workshop environment, they did not work well in the processing environment. 

The decision was made to abandon the equipment concept and to concentrate further efforts on removing personnel from this manual task.
