Robotic x-ray cable dynamic stress testing trials

19 November 2021
Focus area: Hands-off processing
Program stream: Advanced manufacturing
Project number: 2021-1220
AMPC collaborated with Intelligent Robotics (IR) to trial simulated cable stress movement profiles to assess the feasibility and design requirements for a robust x-ray scanning system.

As part of the project, stress tests were performed on high-voltage x-ray cables to evaluate whether there would be significant maintenance implications during its service life in the field.

Testing showed no major lifetime implications for the cable when exposed to high stress movements.
