Progressing from stage 1 and stage 2 of this research, this project developed a world-first prototype robotic deboning process for ribcage separation from a forequarter lamb primal.
The work completed supports consideration for a pilot demonstration with broader considerations of yield, throughput, primal handling and line integration. Future opportunities for commercial development may follow.
