Project number: 2021-1260
AMPC partnered with the University of Adelaide to develop a conceptual design to detect the proportions of lean meat left on the bones after the deboning process using computer vision and machine learning concepts.

The system that was designed, provides a KPI based on the percentage of lean meat left on the beef bones. The results from the trial indicated the concept could potentially detect beef bones with over 95 per cent confidence, and most lean meat on the beef bones can be detected.
