May Innovation Spotlights: Information you can use
From automation and artificial intelligence to sustainable energy and water use and workforce wellbeing, AMPC's Innovation Spotlights have everything covered for the red meat processor and the next round of events is about to kick off.
Innovation Spotlights will be held in Melbourne on May 19 and in Brisbane on May 26.
Designed to showcase the latest research, development and technologies to Australian red meat processors, Innovation Spotlights aim to drive adoption of the technologies coming from AMPC's work that improves productivity, safety and sustainability.
They are also about fostering collaboration between processors, researchers and government bodies.
The three upcoming events will include updates on opportunities for research collaborations that AMPC is currently taking expressions of interest for, along with a comprehensive rundown on projects underway and recently completed across all AMPC departments from people and culture to market access and automated manufacturing.
The events will also include data and insights sessions and an expert panel discussing the big-ticket items processors are dealing with.
Researcher providers on hand will include Aegis, on the latest news in workers compensation; Weber Vacuum on inline chilling and freezing of offal; APS Med Tech on medical supply opportunities; Australian Food Super on superannuation developments and Impetus Animal Welfare on where AI fits in with animal monitoring.
The Spotlights have been running for four years and have attracted dozens of processor representatives, who have the opportunity to access a smorgasbord of information in the one spot on all the cutting-edge developments in their industry.
AMPC Extension and Adoption Manager David Carew said not only were processor representatives returning to their sites with a plethora of new knowledge but the Spotlights drive a real enthusiasm for the innovations coming down the pipeline.
"This year's version is fast and furious with impactful and exciting content designed to enthuse the audiences, buoyed by the service provider 'speed dating' sessions whereby providers have just five slides and nine minutes to pitch their case," he said.
The events will be held at the Melbourne Pullman Hotel on Tuesday May 19 and at the Brisbane Colmslie Hotel on Tuesday May 26. All run from 10am until 3pm and include lunch.
