COVID-19 has profoundly affected us all - the way we live, the way we do business and the way we travel. On Thursday, August 20, AMPC hosted a COVID-19 webinar in collaboration with Respond Global and the Australian Meat Industry Council to provide our members with information on how best to handle the new situation we find ourselves in.
Respond Global was formed in early 2020 as a social enterprise to provide assistance to organisations seeking to improve their localised response in times of emergency. They aim to empower those in charge and those on the frontlines to do their jobs efficiently and safely.
Dr Ian Norton from Respond Global and Dr Mary Wu from AMIC gave an informative presentation, clearing up some myths around the spread of COVID-19 and giving advice on how processors can adapt to the ‘new normal’.
It was great to see more than 50 members of the red meat processing sector attend this webinar. We heard some great questions from the attendees, which were answered expertly by our two presenters.
