Background

The current AMPC Strategic Plan 2020-2025 is nearing its final year. As we approach the end of this period, it's essential to assess progress and identify opportunities to extend this plan into the future.

To help inform the new investment plan, a ‘future scan’ was conducted in 2024 that looked ahead and identified the key challenges and opportunities that the red meat processing industry faces. It also included a scan of innovation in alternative industries that may have application for meat processing.

The ‘future scan’ included industry consultation together with local and global research.

The AMPC Portfolio Investment Plan 2030 will consider the above factors, along with stakeholder input, to help the industry remain competitive and sustainable.
