RD&E Priorities

AMPC has strengthened the way by which it attracts and reviews RD&E project proposals from providers through the implementation of a two-step project submission process.

By simplifying the requirements for initial project submissions, through the introduction of an initial Preliminary Research Proposal (PRP) step, this change has opened up the opportunity for an increased number of providers to submit RD&E concepts across a broader range of topics.

The PRP step allows R&D providers to more easily introduce new ideas for industry consideration, with the best of these then selected for the next phase of the process which is to call for much more detailed Full Research Proposals (FRP).

The timing for this process is structured to align with corporate budget and reporting cycles. Industry consultation occurs to advise on priorities before selection of the PRPs and FRPs are made for future RD&E investments.
